According To Uswhispers
Cruise's Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is back in the spotlight in this new film from Paramount Pictures and Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, as the Navy's best aviator pushes the boundaries of aviation as a test pilot while escaping the rise in rank that would ground him. The son of Maverick's late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw (Teller), called "Goose," played by Anthony Edwards in the first film, Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Teller), call sign: "Rooster," is training a detachment of TOPGUN grads for a particular mission.
Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own greatest anxieties, ending in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it, in the face of an uncertain future.
