As of May of the year 1990, Sydney Leroux was a resident of the city of Surrey, British Columbia. Her mother was a member of the Canadian national softball team


and her father was a pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Calif. A former player of the Coquitlam City Wild and Sereno FC, Leroux also played for the UCLA Bruins during her adolescence.


In 2005, at the age of 15, she made her professional soccer debut with the Vancouver Whitecaps, becoming the team's youngest-ever player.
