According To Uswhispers McCartney's net worth is expected to be $1.2 billion in 2022

In 1957, McCartney met John Lennon, and the two bonded through their shared love of music as well as their shared grief of losing their moms when they were young. After McCartney joined John Lennon's Quarrymen band, the team that would become known as Lennon-McCartney began collaborating on tunes. By 1960, the Quarrymen had changed their name to The Beatles and added George Harrison, drummer Pete Best, and bassist Stuart Sutcliffe to their lineup.

McCartney took over Sutcliffe's bass after he departed the band. The Beatles started performing in Hamburg, Germany, as openers for Rory and the Hurricanes, Ringo Starr's band, and eventually hired the drummer to take Best's place. Their first record deal was struck in 1962, and the rest is history.

After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, McCartney formed Wings and then pursued a solo career. Since the disbandment of the Beatles, he has recorded and released 26 studio albums.

In 1963, Beatles manager Brian Epstein negotiated an agreement with publishing business Northern Songs for the band's library, with Lennon and McCartney owning 20% of each song, Epstein receiving an undetermined share, and Northern Songs, controlled by Dick James, receiving the remainder. Two years later, the firm went public, with Lennon and McCartney holding 15 percent each, with smaller shares going to Starr and Harrison (the latter of whom penned "Only a Northern Song" about feeling shortchanged in the deal).

Despite counter-bids from McCartney and Lennon to hold their work, James sold his half of the company to ATV Music in 1969; Lennon and McCartney eventually sold their remaining interests to ATV, essentially relinquishing entire control of their compositions.
