In tribute to Roel Navarro, who died on January 15, 2019, the Mayans M.C. Season 4 premiere aired on FX on April 19 and featured a title card at the end of the episode. The cause of his death is still a mystery.

Seasons 2 and 3 of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff series featured Navarro as Pavia, the vice president of the Tucson, Arizona chapter of the Mayans Motorcycle Club. Season 2 of Mayans M.C. saw him appear in two episodes before he was brought back in Season 3 as a regular. With his eighth and final episode in 2021, Navarro had made eight appearances on the show. Two years after his death, in May of 2021, the show was renewed.



"Cleansing of the Temple" featured a title card that read, "In memory of our brother, Roel Navarro," in the Season 4 opener.The Mayans M.C. Season 4 premiered on FX on April 19, with a title card at the end of the two-part episode honouring Roel Navarro, a cast member who died on January 15, 2019.
