Joe Biden will host a conference call with allies on Tuesday to discuss the invasion of Ukraine.

Joe Biden will make the call as Russia and Ukraine approach the 55th day of their conflict.

The White House said that US President Joe Biden will hold a conference call with allies on Tuesday to discuss the Ukraine crisis, particularly how to coordinate efforts to hold Russia accountable.

The White House repeated on Monday that US President Joe Biden does not intend to visit Kyiv, despite the fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged his American counterpart to support the war-torn nation in its fight against Russia by visiting the embattled city. During Monday's daily press briefing, White House press secretary Jen Psaki stated, "There are no plans for the President to travel."

While a number of European politicians have visited Kyiv and met with Zelenskyy, allegations have surfaced that Biden was preparing to do the same in order to express his support for Ukraine. Even the US President has stated that he is "ready" to travel to Kyiv, despite the fact that his visit would offer a more complex security challenge.

As a result, officials in the Biden administration have stated that instead of the US President, they want to send high-ranking officials such as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken or Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin.
