Jennifer Lopez has revealed her engagement to actor Ben Affleck, 19 years after the couple's initial breakup.
The 52-year-old singer and actor informed her fans via her OnTheJLo newsletter. She included a video of herself enjoying a huge green-stone engagement ring on her finger in the email.
The camera then pans up to her face, showing her wiping away tears before saying, "You're perfect."
Lopez teased the "big surprise" on her Twitter and Instagram pages, encouraging fans to subscribe to her newsletter.
The announcement comes a year after the couple officially restored their relationship after nearly two decades apart.
Lopez and Affleck began dating in July 2002 and were engaged in November of the same year. The pair planned to marry in September, but it was postponed just days before the ceremony. They ended their engagement and divorced in January 2004.
"Ben and I broke up just as I thought we were committing to each other forever," Lopez wrote in Page Six in 2014. "It was my first real heartbreak, it felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest."
Lopez began dating American musician Marc Anthony just three days after her wedding was called off. In June of 2004, she married him.
She revealed her relationship with Affleck on Instagram after her 52nd birthday, posting a selfie of herself kissing the actor onboard a luxury yacht.
Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres of the romance, "You never could believe something like that could happen." "It's a lovely thing."
Affleck previously married Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10 years old. After 13 years of marriage, they divorced in 2018.
