Aquaman 2 :Amber Heard has confirmed that her role in the sequel has been reduced Johnny Deep
According To Uswhispers "Aquaman 2" actress Amber Heard claims that she was cut from her role in the film due to the allegations of mutual abuse in her marriage to Johnny Depp.
After Heard obtained a restraining order against Depp for domestic violence in 2016, she claimed that the actor orchestrated a "smear campaign" against her. A divorce was finalised in 2017 between the two parties.
Defamation claims stemming from Heard's 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic violence are the basis of Depp's $50 million defamation lawsuit against her. She later filed a $100 million countersuit against Depp claiming his legal team defamed her by stating that she had made up the accusations against him.
Following the issuance of her [restraining order against Depp], Heard admitted in court that she had to "fight really hard" to maintain her career.
"I blew a lot of chances. I was fired from a number of jobs and campaigns. "Justice League" and the opportunity to star in "Aquaman" were two of the greatest film opportunities of my career, so I fought to keep both. Because of my divorce, I had to do everything I could to stay in 'Justice League.'"
While she was involved in legal battles, her role in Aquaman 2 was significantly reduced. Heard portrays Jason Momoa's Aquaman love interest Mera.
Actor Heard says she was given a script and then given new versions of the script, which "took away scenes with action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving away any spoiler aways, two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a lot out of my role," Heard testified. Just a bunch was taken out, they said.
Heard is said to be featured in only 10 minutes of the sequel. Warner Bros. also pushed back the premiere date of "Aquaman 2" to March 17, 2023.
With her DC contract, which expires with the "Aquaman" sequel, she said, "It's structured like a three-film option." "My character was introduced in 'Justice League,' so I agreed to do the show."
The fee is comparatively low when compared to the cost of the other options or movies that fall under the umbrella of that umbrella. In other words, it was the contract for "Justice League," which could then turn into "Justice League 2," "Aquaman," or any other DC movie. After that, 'Aquaman,' and 'Aquaman 2' were the two subsequent films. This fee rises every time. "
Allegedly, Depp used a "sophisticated PR machine" to defame Heard in the press, which led the DC actress to lose her "Aquaman 2" and other brand sponsorships, according to Heard's testimony on May 16.
